What Of It?
I wrote on my Facebook just this week that my life mission is to become the Gay Welsh White Oprah (henceforth to be referred to as GWWO). Now I’m not saying I’m going to undergo extensive surgery nor that I do not accept my self as a I am, it’s just she is a flipping killer role model.
It’s her heart, it’s her genuine interest in people, her authenticity and her inquisitiveness. She knows who she is and what she is called to do i.e. imparting a piece of light or enlightenment that leads them on the path that most enhances themselves. When I think about what sets me on fire, or equally what sucks the life out of me if I DONT do it, it’s just that.
Helping people find the gold within and use that to take steps that will propel them into their fullest future. It sets me wildly on fire. That’s how I know that’s the reason I’m on the planet – from teacher, to pastor in training, to charity exec to life coach to just my general clumsy welshness – it runs through me like Blackpool rock!
But I also strive towards the GWWO because of her heart for philanthropy, intertwined to her life passion.
the desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes.
Philanthropy sometimes feels a little highfalutin but it needn’t be. It’s about wanting to share what you have to better someone else’s life. In the above video Oprah shares some absolute gold perspectives I think you would find super interesting. I’ve listed below just a few but take a listen and let me know what you think.
Meanwhile I’ll be spending time working on my weave. It’s not a must-have but I am also a very big fan of Dark and Lovely
